Here Be Wolves

Many people are not aware that there are wolves in South Africa! No not the wolf or two or the hybrids you see at road side zoos but packs or real thoroughbred wolves all who have been rescued from the misguided hands of humans.

These wolves are not indigenous to South Africa and I was fortunate enough to spend some time with them a while ago and to capture some really incredible images of pack life.

It has taken me a while to figure out what to do with them but I will shortly be releasing a series of prints called “Here Be Wolves”.

In the meant time here some samples of what is to come.

I am a huge fan of the wolf. Where are these one’s in SA? Knysna way? I bumped into a guy on Llandudno taking his full blooded wolf for a walk. They are very special. Where can I read about them Robert?

Hi Ryan, these wolves are in storms river http://www.wolfsa.org.za . Many people in this country think they have been sold pure bred wolves but in reality most are hybrid (wolf crossed with husky or malamute) and pure bred wolves do not make good pets and are very difficult to handle and train.

Not quite as romantic in real life as one would think.
